Sassella is one such subzone. From this historic subzone—one of the most famous in Valtellina—comes “Reale,” produced exclusively in the best vintages from grapes grown in the family’s vineyards. A Valtellina Superiore DOCG that interprets the character of Nebbiolo from the Alps with style and elegance, expressing the authenticity of a region that for centuries has represented one of the finest expressions of mountain wine.
